As is my tradition when I join a new interactive site, I am posting my first blog to let the readers know “the shape of things to come” in my blogs. One of the reasons I enjoy blogging is because it helps me keep in practice between my free-lance writing projects, and I’ve found that it’s a great way to share my perspectives with others. It’s also a very relaxing hobby.
I use my blogs to relay ideas in a constructive manner rather than as an excuse for online ranting or whining about events which I regard as unfavorable. I try to maintain a positive focus in my blogs, or if I’m addressing a topics that has some inherently negative bases (e.g. the September 11th Attacks), I try to present my ideas on these topics in a positive manner (e.g. lessons learned from the incidents). My goal is to give the reader something to think about while reading my blogs. While the reader may not always agree with my perspectives, if I have presented them in a manner that causes the reader to stop and think about them, then these blogs have served a valuable purpose.
I will be posting many of my blogs that I also post on MySpace, Yahoo 360, and my high school pages, which are also available on Ning.com. I will also be reposting many other blogs which I’ve previously posted on those pages. I hope you enjoy my blogs, and I look forward to presenting them to you in this group.
