Hi Jonathan. I just wanted to thank you for featuring my blog, and to let you know that there will be plenty more coming! I've been enjoying reading your blogs too. I also wanted to let you know that I recommended this site in the UT Group I started on my high school's Ning page. So far, one of my friends has joined, and I'm hoping more of them will join too. Have a great day!
Thanks. Good job on the site. I have recommended it to a few people and even met another alum, Michelle Zavala, in San Antonio.
Golf... yes. We need to schedule a round!
Thanks for the comment, Jonathan! The big D Almuni group is growing - we are 9 people strong now! Watch out, here we come :) Also, just posted a new blog - I know there have been a lot in a little amount of time, but it had been a couple of weeks since the last one. Check it out - it is one of my favorites. I do want to continue to post them on the alumni forum, but want to encourage anyone that wants to go to my website at www.jasonvanduen.com to check it out and join as a follower as well.
It's new to me, too. All I did was download it and list "Texas Longhorns" as my topic. It appears to monitor Twitter posts that include those words. I like it so far. Thanks for your hard work on this site.
Hi Jonathan. First, let me say "Thank You!" for the welcome! I really appreciate it. Regarding my blogs, you are more than welcome to feature any of them on the page. I don't really have any personal favorites, but I can offer a few titles as suggestions, such as The Value Of An Education or Maintaining A Positive Professional Image. Other blogs I've written may be more appropriate to feature during certain times of the year, such as those dealing with voting in elections or the Christmas holidays. Have a great day, and thank you again for the welcome and interest in my blogs! Hook 'Em Horns!
My Daughter who is in her first semester at NYU TIsch Film & Television program is a vegetarian. Counter http://www.counternyc.com was very good. Have also heard the Candle Restaurants are very good http://www.candlecafe.com
It took me a little longer to make real updates on the site...I've been caught up with work, etc. Thanks for setting this site up. it's pretty awesome!
Hi, Jonathan... Thanks for the great welcome! I am adjusting pretty well to Florida. I've always preferred the heat anyway. Of course, the barbecue and Mexican food do not taste the same down here. Could be that I've got Texas in the blood... so I'm sure I'll be back in Texas in the future!
Looks like you are doing great. One thing with theses networks is that nobody is as active on them as we are, so don't get discouraged when there is inactivity. What I do also, is promote them is other places, like FaceBook, LinkedIn, etc. or in other Ning networks. Also join the Ning Network Creators ning. I'll send an invite if you are not already there. Good source of ideas and other like us with the ning bug... ;-)

They have groups to show you an example.
To add a group, go to the social networks you own, then go to manage, then go to features. You can drag and drop features such as groups.
I hope that helps!
